Jesus Over Our CityChikamu
A year after Jesus sent out the twelve disciples, the mission expanded. Jesus appointed 72 others and sent them out two by two. 36 teams. 36 groups of people going door to door. 72 people on mission. Hundreds of opportunities for people to hear about the Savior of the world that wanted to rescue them. I believe the 72 were excited, ready to come back to Jesus, and report the incredible stories of life change that were going to happen all around them.
Luke 10:1 says that “the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.”
How would you live on mission if Jesus told you to go first, lead the way, and then He would come behind you? Have that conversation with your neighbor. You don’t have to close the deal. Jesus will. Pray over the random stranger who looks full of doubt, fear, and worry. Trust Jesus will come behind you.
What if it looks different today, than it looked when Jesus walked this earth? Maybe the call on our life is that we continue to go from town to town, restaurant to restaurant, grocery store to grocery store, random stranger to random stranger, trusting that people have gone before us and will come after us, and Jesus will continue to show up in their life.
Do you trust that Jesus will come behind you?
Jesus is over our city.

Jesus is over our city! How do you take the fame of Jesus from city to city? What is the expectation of Jesus? How will Jesus come beside you as you proclaim His love from city to city?
