Sometimes the good choice is obvious. We not only know what we need to do, but we actually want to do it. Other times, it’s not that simple. Maybe we can’t figure out what the right thing is, or if we do know what it is, we struggle to actually do it.
Paul reminds us here that we should always strive to do what is good. Even when it’s difficult or not what we want to do, we can trust that when we don’t give up on what is right, God will honor our efforts to do what is good, not just for ourselves but for others.
