Lineage on Redemption
Some shepherds came running with glee down the road
Apparently angels divulged our abode.
Rejoicing from heaven with songs of good news
Great hosts told the shepherds of Christ child, their muse.
They gave them directions to rush to the place
And worship the Lord in the hay face to face.
A piece of red yarn I picked up off the ground
And twirled on my finger while herders pressed ‘round.
Much likened to one Rahab’s window had bore,
May its bright red color confirm I’m restored.
Extolling the God who redeemed wrong for right,
Wide banners of praise flowed from angels that night.

In this devotional written from the perspective of Jesus' mother, Mary vulnerably and honestly details the intimate moments of her experience as a mom. In each compelling scene, Mary treasures a small token to remember it by. Little does she know the divine significance each item will play in the ultimate purpose of her son’s role on earth.
