Scriptures Of Hope

ZUVA 2 REMAZUVA 3

Continuing to think about specific Scripture verses which focus your mind on hope enables the truth of the Word to abide deeply in your spirit. Take a moment each day to read, think about and apply the spiritual principles in the following Scriptures of Hope (World English Bible translation):

Read:

Romans 15:4

"For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through patience and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."

- Hope doesn't float down in a balloon right to our doorstep. The mailman can't deliver it in a brown paper package all tied up with strings. We can't cook it for breakfast. It would be nice if all of those things were true, but they aren't. However, God has given us a way to get hope. He's made it clear for us in His Word. In fact, we get hope from His Word. It is "through encouragement of the Scriptures" that we find the hope we long for.

Psalm 119:114

"You are my hiding place and my shield. I hope in your word."

- God Himself is our protector, defender, rescuer, provider and so much more. When you discover the freeing power of surrender by hoping in Him, you will unleash the peace you desire. Spend a moment thinking on the reality of the truths in today's two Scripture verses and then ask yourself if you are investing in your hope-bank enough, or should you commit to greater time in His Word?
