Iyeyu Tenzi ndiye Mwari wedu
mirao yake hakuna kwaisiri pasi pose.
Rangarirai nokusingapere chitenderano chake,
shoko raakati richengetwe
kunyange, kusvikira kuchizvarwa chavanhu chechiuru,
chitenderano chaakaita naAbhurahamu,
chitsidzo chaakaita kuna Isaki;
chaakazvisunga nacho somurao kuitira Jakobho,
sechitenderano chake naIsiraeri, chokugara nokugara
achiti:
‘Ndichakupa nyika yeKanani
somugove wako wenhaka.’
Ipapo vakanga vachiri katsama chete,
vanhu vashomanana, vatorwa zvavo;
vachidzunga nawo marudzi akasiya-siyana
vachideva namo mumadzimambo nomumarudzi
avanhu akasiyana-siyana.
Zvokuti pave neanovabata zvakaipa akaramba,
pamusana pavo aitsiura madzimambo
achiti:
‘Musambobata-bata zvenyu vangu vandakazodza,
vaporofita vangu musawane chamunoita kwavari.’
Pasi pose zvapo ngapaimbire Tenzi.
Paridzai ruponeso rwake zuva nezuva.
Rondedzerai marudzi avanhu zvembiri yake,
nokundudzi dzose zvishamiso zvaakaita,
nokuti Tenzi mukuru
anofanira kurumbidzwa chaizvo.
Pavamwari vose zvavo
ndiye chete anofanira kutyiwa
nokuti vamwari vose vamarudzi
ndavamwari vechipameso.
Asi Tenzi ndiye akasika matenga,
chiremera nembiri ndezvake,
musha wake wakasimba,
musha werufaro.
Ipai Tenzi imi mhuri dzose dzavanhu,
ipai Tenzi mbiri noukuru.
Mbiri ngaiende kuna Tenzi,
mbiri inokodzerana nezita rake.
Takurai chipo muuye nacho paari.
Pfugamirai Tenzi mune hanzu dzoutsvene.
Pasi pose zvapo ngapadedere mberi kwake,
nyika yakanyatsosimba haitsukunyuki.
Matenga ngaafare, nyika izare nokufara,
marudzi adure pachawo kuti, ‘Tenzi ndiye mutongi!’
Gungwa ngaritinhire nezvosewo zvizeremo,
sango ngarifare kwazvo nezvosewo zvirimo.
Miti yomusango ichadaidzira nokufara,
kufarira Tenzi nokuti anouya kuzotonga nyika.
Tendai Tenzi nokuti akanaka
mwoyochena wake hauperi.
Itiiwo,
‘Tiponeseiwo nhai Mwari
ndimi Mwari anotiponesa.
Tikokorodzeiwo mutinunure
mukati mamarudzi
tikwanise kutenda zita renyu rinoera
tipembere kufara mukukurumbidzai kwatinoita
Tenzi ngaarumbidzwe, narini narini
Mwari weIsiraeri.’ ”
