Journey With Jesus 365Sample

After a day of teaching and preaching, Jesus instructed his disciples to cross over to the other side of a sea in their ship. He knew exactly what was going to happen and what He would do. As they crossed over, a great storm arose, and the ship was battered to the point of almost sinking. Jesus was sound asleep inside the ship, unfazed by the storm. The disciples, although they were with the Lord, were terrified. They had seen many mighty displays of his power firsthand, but they were still gripped with fear, so much so that they awoke him, saying: “Master, carest thou not that we perish?” Jesus arose and said unto the sea: “Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” He asked them two questions: why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?

No matter the size of the storm in our lives, it’s not too big for our Lord! Though the waters rage, there is no fear at the feet of Jesus. He wants us to trust Him, and we absolutely can!
