31 Values to Pray for Your Kids

DAY 12 OF 31

Courage

As a parent, one of our deepest desires is to see our children grow into strong, courageous individuals capable of facing life's challenges with unwavering strength and faith. Cultivating courage within our children is essential for their journey in a world of uncertainties and trials.

In Deuteronomy 31:6, we are reminded of God's promise never to leave nor forsake us. This assurance serves as a firm foundation for our courage. As we teach our children to trust God's constant presence, they can boldly step forward, knowing they are never alone.

2 Timothy 1:7 assures us that God has not given us a spirit of fear but power, love, and a sound mind. We understand that true courage does not stem from our abilities but from the power of God working within us. His strength empowers us to overcome any obstacle that may come our way.

In Acts 4:1-22, we witness the bravery of Peter and John as they boldly proclaim the name of Jesus in the face of opposition. Despite threats and intimidation, they stood firm in their faith, demonstrating courage amid adversity. Their example inspires us and our children as we navigate the challenges of our own lives.

Pray:

Father, in Jesus’ name, we come before you with gratitude for the courage you instill within us and our children. May they be like Joshua, strong and courageous, knowing that you are with them wherever they go. As they face trials and uncertainties, may they find their strength in you, trusting in your promises and relying on your power.

Grant them boldness to stand firm in their faith, even in the face of opposition. May they be filled with your Spirit, possessing a sound mind and a heart overflowing with love. Please give them the courage to speak truth boldly and to live out their faith fearlessly, knowing that you are their ever-present help in times of need.

We entrust our children into your loving hands, knowing that you will guide and protect them on their journey. May they walk in the footsteps of Christ, shining brightly as beacons of your love and grace in a world that desperately needs it. We pray in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus, amen.
