What Are Your Little Sins?

"What nobody knows, nobody cares about." Have you heard this proverb? Just scary that it doesn't do us any good!

Maybe you've had similar experiences in your life with these, let's call them "hidden sins" that creep in and quickly find their permanent place in our lives. We get used to them and start to believe they are harmless because nobody sees and notices them anyway.

Maybe they are just thoughts -- bad thoughts -- that you have about a person. They find their place and take root. Even if this person would do something good, you could not see it anymore, because your opinion is fixed.

Or maybe it's your feelings. Feelings of lust that you satisfy with pornography and don't find so bad: "What nobody knows makes no difference to anyone."

My tip to you is: "Bring the dark to light; then it won't endanger you."

To protect myself from letting these dangerous "hidden sins" into my life, I have memorized a Bible verse, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." (Proverbs 4:23 NIV)

Will you pray with me that God will open your eyes early and that you won't fall into the trap of "hidden sins?”

"Jesus, I want to bring everything out into the open and not hide my faults from You. You see everything! Shine Your light of truth through my heart and keep me from letting sin into my heart! Amen."

It is such a gift to be able to walk this path with you.
