Being the Church in the WildSample
Standing Firm
Living as the Church on mission isn't always easy. We will face opposition, doubt, and fear. But, we have a God who is faithful and who will sustain us to the end..
It can be difficult to think about contending for the faith or even just speaking about it with others. We may think we don’t have the right words or maybe we don't know exactly what chapter or verse a scripture is located in. Or even worse, we could be completely rejected.
Take things slow, pray, let your testimony and what Jesus has done in your life be enough while we continue to study and hide the Word in our hearts.
Let's stand firm in our faith, trusting that God is with us and that he will see us through.
Questions:
- In what areas of my life have I compromised my beliefs or values in order to fit in with the culture around me?
- Am I willing to stand firm in my faith even when it may be difficult or unpopular, or do I give in to peer pressure and compromise my convictions?
Action: Identify one challenge or obstacle in your faith journey, and commit to standing firm in your faith and trusting God to see you through.
Pray that the Holy Spirit guide you and be with you in moments where you may not have the words to say.
