Heaven Came for Me

There is something so incredible about the fact that Jesus was sent from heaven to take away our sin. God loved us so much He sent his only son from heaven to change lives here on earth (John 3:16). When we anchor ourselves in that love, our hearts are marked for eternity.

Even though circumstances here on earth change, God doesn't. He is so faithful! The line, "through even death you are faithful” really speaks to that. Even as we were tracking vocals, that lyric brought me to tears. We are anchored in heaven (Hebrews 6:19). Even through loss and pain we find joy in the promise of eternity. I want to live every day with heaven and eternity in mind.

I am constantly reminded that praise is a lifestyle and when we live with our affections set on Him we are inviting heaven to come to earth. We are asking God to show up in our lives. I pray that as you lift up your song of praise today, you will see heaven poured out in your life, in your city, and in your nation.

Isaiah 32:15-17 says, “till the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the desert becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field seems like a forest.16 The Lord’s justice will dwell in the desert, his righteousness live in the fertile field. 17 The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.”
