Expecting the One With Many NamesSample
COME TO THE FOUNTAIN FREELY!
Because we know that Jesus was at the beginning with God and that He changes not, He is indeed the ‘faithful witness’ to the beginning of creation. The scripture below breaks the theory of evolution, for if Jesus witnessed it, it is true because He is Truth!
"And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the ‘faithful and true witness,’ the beginning of the creation of God." Revelation 3:14
It was a cultural belief in the Corinthians that when a person died, that was it. But Jesus being the ‘First fruit,’ showed by example that He would die, be buried, resurrected from the dead, and ascend to His Father. At Jesus's 2nd Coming, those in Christ will also return to the Father.
"But every man in his own order: Christ the ‘first fruits;’ afterward they that are Christ's at his coming." 1 Corinthians 15:23
Spiritual leaders may have said, "I want you to get a solid foundation." That is because to know Jesus is to be on solid ground. Jesus is steady and strong; he is sure, bares up your weight, and cannot be destroyed.
"There, thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a ‘foundation’ a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste." Isaiah 28:16
When you think of a large 'fountain,' you might think of refreshing, peaceful, being washed, and cleansed. A ‘fountain’ continually recycles water through its system, acting as a filtering process. No wonder Jesus was referred to as a Fountain, for He is the only way to remove the sin that stains our souls.
"In that day there shall be a ‘fountain’ opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness." Zechariah 13:1
LET US PAUSE:
Today, let us bow to that Fountain and ask God for cleansing and a refresher! Cleansing sin is the sure way to begin building your spiritual foundation, which is forever setting the example before us.
