Expecting the One With Many Names

DAY 11 OF 27

ONE DAY EVERY KNEE WILL BOW TO THE KING OF ISRAEL

If someone approaches you and asks who you are, you tell them. Here The Lord tells Moses that He is the great ‘I am,’ and this was a name He gave Himself!

“God said to Moses,“I am who ‘I am.’This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” Exodus 3:14

‘Oh, what an important name is the name given to Jesus as ‘Intercessor!’ No longer do you or I have to go before anyone but Jesus to gain access to God! He is indeed our intercessor!

"Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also 'interceding' for us” Romans 8:34

‘Jehovah’ is a Hebrew name for God, and He is not willing to share that glory, for it belongs to Him alone.

“I am Jehovah,’ that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” Isaiah 42:8

Of all the names given to our Lord, ‘Jesus’ is the one that says it all. It is a name above all names and is recognized throughout the world.

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name ‘Jesus,’ for He shall save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

He was mocked, he was chastised, and he was tortured because of who He was. Some reject Him and persecute those who follow Him to this day. One day, this faithful ‘King of Israel’ will rule, and every knee will bow to Him!

“He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the ‘King of Israel’ let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.” Matthew 27:42

LET US PAUSE:

In today’s study are very recognizable names given to our Lord. He who does not lie calls Himself the I Am, Jehovah, and Jesus! One day He will reign as King over all of Israel. Let us reverence His holiness and honor His many names in today’s study.
