For We Wrestle Not.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The war is not against flesh and blood—this war is spiritual. What’s trying to consume your heart? What’s trying to consume your thoughts, ideas, and plans? What’s trying to drain you of your time, energy, and resources? 

For you are not wrestling against physical powers or might. You are wrestling against spiritual forces and powers. Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.”

The resistance and turbulence that you’re facing is of a spiritual nature. You are fighting a spiritual war. For this war is spiritual and not carnal. “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

You can’t fight a spiritual battle with carnal weaponry. You must fight spirit with spirit. The Word of God is the only thing that can disarm and dismantle the authority, rule, and power of darkness. Remember that this battle is spiritual. For the Lord is with you. For the Lord will fight for you.
