Day Five
Your New Beginning
Scripture: Isaiah 58:11; Jeremiah 29:11; Matthew 6:33; Romans 15:13
Kingdom Key: God will lead you into abundance when you open your eyes to His will.
I’m stuck. My past feels like home even though I know I can’t return there. It hurts, but I can’t stop myself from replaying the good and bad times. At least I know what to expect there. My pain welcomes me too. I do have hope for the future, but I’m well acquainted with what used to be.
—signed, the girl who can’t let go
Hey girl,
Throughout the good and the ugly, God is teaching you how to discover the new in every day. There is beauty in it, even if it’s uncomfortable. It’s time to transform your perspective by forging ahead and letting go of who and where you were before. If you keep looking behind you, you will not know where you’re going. You’ll stunt your growth by neglecting to explore the endless possibilities with Christ.
When you do realize there is nothing back there for you, He will lead you into abundance. He will transform your desert into a life full of purpose. You will experience a new level of freedom like never before and revel at the works of His hands.
God has promised His children a new thing, and He will not be delayed . . . unless, of course, you stop Him. Hold on to His Word as you spearhead into the future together. God is bringing a freshness to your life that you can’t even imagine! Are you ready for it?
Here are words straight from God to you: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
—Isaiah 43:19, NLT
Let’s Pray: God, thank you for Your call to live right here and right now. I have been stuck reliving my best and worst moments, but I welcome revitalization in all aspects of my being. Thank you for doing a new thing in my life every day, even when I’m too blind to see it. Open my eyes and push me to live my best life with You. In Jesus’s name, amen.
About this Plan
No matter how many likes, comments, and direct messages we crave, no one can love us the way God can. Every day in this week-long devotional, you’ll read thoughts and feelings from a girl who might be a lot like you—wrestling with questions, insecurities, and dreams. Then you’ll read truth from God’s Word to remind you of your Heavenly Father who cherishes you—every moment, every day, no matter what.
