When You PraySample
Day 3: When you pray, SAY!
Luke 11:2 “He said to them, "When you pray, say: "'Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.” (NIV). When you pray, use your words, use your voice. Your voice is indispensable for things to move in your favour. Therefore, you must know how to use your voice. When you pray, say.
Matt.21:21 “Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.” (NLT, emphasis added). When you pray, believe; deal with offense - forgive; and whatever you say will be upheld. This is because God has given man dominion, that is what it means. Matt.16:19 “And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.” (NLT)
Job 22:28 "You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways.” (NASB, emphasis added). To make these decrees, your voice, your say-so is needed. It is what you say that shapes things. It is what you say that takes your rights and makes them your reality. Your voice is so powerful in the place of prayer. Guess what? The first step in the creative process is to speak and we see God do this at creation in Genesis 1.
Num.14:28 “Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the LORD, ‘just what you have spoken in My hearing I will most certainly do to you;” (AMP).
Joel 3:10 “…let the weak say, I am strong.” (KJV, emphasis added). What are you saying? It must align with what you desire of God in prayer. Rom.8:26 “…by our faith—the Holy Spirit helps us with our daily problems and in our praying. For we don’t even know what we should pray for nor how to pray as we should, but the Holy Spirit prays for us with such feeling that it cannot be expressed in words.” (TLB)
Holy Spirit, help me in my praying, I do not know what I should pray for or how to pray, help Me. Put Your words in my mouth, in Jesus Name. Amen!
About this Plan
We cannot fully understand how prayer works but the effects, the power, and the results are undeniable. However, we must approach prayer with a conscious of heart. Jesus shows us three things that must be in place, not if, but when we pray.
