DAY 4 OF 7

Do I need to have all the answers about God?

My four-year-old son does not know everything about me. In fact, he doesn't even know my middle name! Yet my four-year-old son most certainly has a relationship with me—a very personal relationship in fact.

It is possible to have a personal relationship with God without having all the answers about God. A relationship with God is simple. A relationship with God is simply welcoming God consciously into your life to love you and lead you. A relationship with God is just an ongoing conversation with God where we share our hearts with him, and he shares his with us. You don't need to know everything about God to have this relationship with him. In fact, it's quite the opposite: if you want to know more about him, you need to have a conversation and relationship with him!

Don't put off welcoming God until you have all the answers. If you do, you will wait until you die. The Apostle Paul said that in this world we will only see God in part (1 Cor. 13:12). If we wait until we see in full to put our lives in God's hands, we will die having squandered our whole life and the relationship with God we could have had.

My son knows better than to wait until he has all the answers about me to have a relationship with me. God calls us to have a relationship with him in the same way.

About this Plan

Hidden

Do you ever feel like parts of you, especially your relationship with God, are hidden from the eyes of others? Do you ever feel lost in the world as someone who has found Jesus Christ? Do you ever feel like some parts of your walk with God are impossible for even your Christian brothers and sisters to fully comprehend? Every Christian in some way is hidden with Christ in God.
