DAY 2 OF 7

Who are you living for?

God calls us to live in the world but not be of the world. That means we're called to live in the world but not allow the world to be our God. Without a relationship with God there is little else to live for but the opinions of others or at best our own opinions. Without God we are stuck firmly in the world.

When we accept a relationship with God personally we are taken out "of" the world while remaining "in" the world. In other words, when we accept a relationship with God our eyes are opened to the fact that there is something larger than the opinions of others or even ourselves to live for. When we accept a relationship with God we see that we are invited to live for him which is so much more satisfying even while living in the world.

Perhaps the greatest frustrations in the Christian life comes from living for what is seen by the world when our souls have been exposed to something greater: the Kingdom of God. Perhaps the greatest frustration is simply simply trying to live as someone who is "of" the world when our souls ache for so much more.

You will never be satisfied if you are living for the opinions of others or even your own opinions. You will never be satisfied if you are living for the world instead of for God. You were created to live "in" the world but you were also created to be so much more than "of" the world. You were created to be "of" the Kingdom of Heaven. Nothing else will satisfy you.

About this Plan

Hidden

Do you ever feel like parts of you, especially your relationship with God, are hidden from the eyes of others? Do you ever feel lost in the world as someone who has found Jesus Christ? Do you ever feel like some parts of your walk with God are impossible for even your Christian brothers and sisters to fully comprehend? Every Christian in some way is hidden with Christ in God.
