Innovating in an Isolated World

DAY 1 OF 6

DAY 1 - Starting with the Mind

When we innovate, we introduce changes and new ideas. Innovation can be a way to identify that God has called us to keep moving and to keep growing.

God is always doing a new thing and we should remind ourselves that His mercies are new every morning. Every morning is a chance to start again and to try something new.

No one is ever going to change without innovation. We don’t have a choice but to innovate.

A big part of innovation is being able to renew our minds. We can do this by listening to the voice of God and spending time in His word.

The best time to take a photo of a lake or the sea is just as the sun is rising. The water is calm and flat, and the picture appears clearly in the reflection of the water. If you try to take a photo in the middle of the day, often the wind and the waves make it too choppy.

This is kind of like how Jesus wants to speak to us too. He wants our attention. He doesn’t want to have to fight for us in the middle of the day.

Even Jesus got up early in the morning to pray.

God interrupts us, but He also whispers. Therefore, we must have ears to hear.

Innovation is not just a one-time event. It is a daily choice to renew our minds.

Questions

(1) What is distracting you from seeing God’s goodness today?

(2) What can you do to create time in your morning routine to renew your mind?
