Kingdom Leadership In Your Workplace

DAY 7 OF 7

  Courage to Influence

Reading the Gospels we can appreciate how Jesus would take a stand with such compassion and empathy but was never blown around by prevailing earthly winds. His leadership is courageous to the core of who he is. Kingdom-style leaders are similarly courageous, living a naturally ‘supernatural’ lifestyle, bringing Kingdom wherever they go (Salvation, Healing, Freedom, Peace, Joy, Justice, Comfort and God’s Presence).

No true leader ever succeeded under a roof of self-protection. Stepping out courageously involves overcoming fear and worry, standing firm and with poise. Courageous people are not free from fear they proceed despite the fear and do it anyway. Furthermore, worry is simply the wrong use of our imagination! We need to learn to trust God because he is forever good and, as his beloved children, will faithfully guide and protects us.

Our reality is that we are in a spiritual battle with Satan transmitting his negativity, which we pick up consciously or subconsciously. The movie industry goes to great lengths to manipulate our emotions; to scare us or to make us feel sad, happy or angry. If we can learn to recognize the atmosphere Satan is trying to create we can make the choice to take authority over it and, in doing so, bring what it is affecting into alignment with heaven. Kingdom-style leaders who do this are a force to be reckoned with and make Satan quake because he has nothing in his armory to stop them.

Here are a number of ways you can shift atmospheres: radical worship, prayer and intercession, prophetic declarations and actions. What a privilege to partner with God and influence culture in such a powerful way.

About this Plan

Kingdom Leadership In Your Workplace

Jesus was not just a spiritual leader. Such a perception underplays his leadership capability, considering how he transformed twelve ordinary and if we are honest, unlikely men, into the first generation of leaders of a movement that continues to affect the course of world history 2,000 years later. Jesus provides the template for Kingdom-style leadership that we can model to transform any given situation, team or organization. More than ever, good biblical leadership is required not only in our church environment but in every area of society. Regardless of your title, role or status you have an opportunity to bring about cultural transformation by positioning yourself as a Kingdom-style leader. What leadership opportunities do you have as you go about your daily activities and how can you learn to lead like Jesus? Let’s explore this over the next seven days.
