Recovery Day 20

The third principle of full recovery is the principle of Supernatural Touch. Herod had just killed James and this same Herod took Peter and locked him up. And as soon as this happened, the church began to pray for Peter. Peter was chained between two armed soldiers and surrounded by many other guards and prison bars. The Angel touched Peter and his chains fell off. Note that the angel did not strike the chains or attack the guards. He could have because sometimes God works that way. 

The principle of the supernatural touch – do not worry about your problems, if only God can touch you, your problems will fade away. I pray that God will lay hands on you and you will watch the chains fall off your hands and feet and every guard will be as still as stones. The chains will do what they have been fashioned to do but you need to be empowered. Not only did the chains fall off, when they walked towards the gates, the gates opened of their own accord. As God lays His hands on you, the chains will fall off and the gates will open to you of their own accord. 

God wants to touch you, not your problems, or the chains, or the guards but you. If only God can touch you, you will become untouchable. Isa.10:27 “When that time comes, all the weight of Assyria will be lifted off of your shoulders; its yoke will be removed from your neck, and the burden of their assault and demands will evaporate, and you’ll be free.” When you look at this same Scripture in the King James translation, it gives better insight. “…and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” And in the New International Version of the Bible it states, “…the yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat.” When God touches you, the current yoke gets destroyed and no other yoke can be put on you. Eze.37:1” The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones.” The first thing God will do if He wants to give you a lasting solution is to take hold of you.
