Full Recovery

DAY 19 OF 21

Recovery Day 19

The first principle of full recovery is the principle of Repentance. Daniel 4 is Nebuchadnezzar’s testimony about the God who sits in the heavens, rules in the affairs of men, and does as He pleases. Nebuchadnezzar had a dream he did not understand and he sought counsel with Daniel. The dream bordered on repentance but Nebuchadnezzar did not heed the warning. God has not lost the ability to humble those who walk in pride. Just like Nebuchadnezzar, everyone will have two doors of repentance before them - the door before the “grass” [which is the one I choose] and the door after the “grass” [the door Nebuchadnezzar took]. If you want to be fully restored, then check your dealings and take the first door of repentance where necessary.

The second principle of full recovery is the principle of Intercession. Job prayed for his friends and he in-turn experienced full recovery – a doubled edged sword. Who is God leading you to forgive and to pray for? As God compels the people who have hurt you to seek your forgiveness, I urge you to forgive them and pray for them from your heart. Job did not know he was doing himself a favour by praying for his friends. You are doing yourself a favour when you forgive. Job’s recovery was tied to his intercession for his friends. Job made heaven smile on his friends and inevitably heaven smiled on Job. What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you.

Intercession goes beyond prayer to using your influence for the benefit of another. David on his path to recovery came across a dying boy. David understood that if he recovered the dying boy, God would do the same thing for him - principle of recovery. Guess what? It was that same boy that was the key to David’s full recovery. Heaven sometimes disguises our recovery as an inconvenience so pay attention. God will make happen for you what you make happen for others.

Thought: How are you using your influence for the benefit of others?

Prayer: Father, make me a conduit of other’s full recovery, in Jesus Name. Amen!
