Refuge

'Refuge' is a song about finding comfort in knowing that the Lord is in control over all things. With the world falling apart around us, and the suffering that we each experience individually and corporately, it's important that we know that God is our place of refuge and hope. This is why we do not despair even as our bodies wear away. We have hope because our inner person is being renewed day by day. This is what Paul was saying to the Corinthians.

When we consider the matchless and unending glory that we will experience when we meet Jesus, the suffering that we have to endure now is not worthy to be compared to it. Therefore, as Christians, we need to be much more focused on the hope that we have in Jesus and find our refuge in the work He has accomplished through his life, death and resurrection.
