Light Up

Being a light in the industry/world

'Light Up' is about proclaiming and practicing our love for Jesus. The song communicates how our motivations should differ from the world. The lifestyle of the Christian should be one that reflects the character of Jesus so much so that those who are onlookers of our lives give honor to our Father in Heaven.

Jesus says in the gospel of Mark that light ought to shine and not be hidden. That is the key take-away from this passage of scripture. Too often we hide our light from the world to conceal what God has done in changing us. Jesus teaches the exact opposite. We are taught by Him that we should elevate the light that is in us and shine boldly before people. Whether you are in the workplace, school or at home it's the Lord's purpose that we live in such a way that people can see whom we belong too. In America where our lives are not threatened by much persecution for claiming Christ, there is no reason for the light that we have in Jesus to be hidden.
