Fruit of the Spirit Christmas PlanSample
Day 8: Gentleness
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.“ (Philippians 2:3)
“Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.” (Philippians 4:5)
God’s Plan: Gentleness allows us to approach others with humility and respect, reflecting Christ's gentle and humble heart (Matthew 11:29). This attribute breaks down barriers, creating opportunities for healing and understanding. By nurturing gentleness, God uses us as instruments of His peace and empathy.
Description: A humble and considerate spirit, characterized by a soft approach towards others.
Activity idea: Gentle Touch Game
Have family members, children or friends practice gentle touches by passing a soft object (like a feather or a soft toy) around, without letting it fall.
Example of Fruit in everyday life: Responding to criticism with grace and understanding, or comforting a friend in distress with a gentle demeanor.
Arts and crafts: Gentle Animal Masks
Using paper plates, paint, and other craft supplies, create masks of gentle animals (like lambs or doves).
Eating together: Tender Chicken and Rice
Prepare a gentle dish like creamy chicken and rice, highlighting the comforting nature of gentleness in cooking.
Today’s Prayer: Grant me the gift of gentleness. Help me to respond to others with kindness and patience. May my words and actions reflect the gentleness of Your spirit. Grant me the strength to remain faithful in all circumstances. May my actions and decisions be grounded in unwavering faith, trusting in Your guidance and promises.

About this Plan
Christmas is a wonderful opportunity to make this season spiritually meaningful by giving and receiving gifts that last, gifts that bring joy to others and leave a lasting impact on our hearts. After all, we celebrate the kingdom of Christ and the redemptive story and are reminded of the greatest gift we have ever received, namely Jesus Christ. What a stunning, overwhelming, amazing, incomprehensible, and great Gift it is! His best gift to us is our redemption, but while we are still in this world, He offers us His Spirit to help shape our behaviour and make a difference.
