Journey Through the Book of JohnSample
Son Does Nothing
In the powerful account of healing the paralyzed man at the Pool of Bethesda, Jesus demonstrates a profound truth: He does nothing apart from what He sees the Father do. This reveals His deep alignment with God’s will and purpose. Jesus’ actions not only showcase His authority over sickness and despair but also serve as a blueprint for us. When we align our hearts with God, we position ourselves to experience His miraculous power in our lives. There is a great promise: as we step out in faith to do what He directs us to do He will back it up with His power and provision.
Consider what it truly means to align your heart with God’s will. Are you actively seeking His guidance and following His lead? Approach Him with bold faith, trusting that like He transformed the paralyzed man’s life, He can bring about change and restoration in your circumstances. Your faith is the key that unlocks the door to His miraculous intervention—believe and receive!
As you move forward, remember that Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing. We, too, can live and be led by the Spirit of God to do only what we hear our Father say and do. We can walk in the same authority that Jesus did in this story. Cultivate an awareness of God’s presence in your life and watch as the impossible becomes possible. Embrace this truth: you have the same access to the Father’s heart and the same authority to declare His will on earth. Step into the miraculous and live out the reality that you are called to do what you see the Father doing!
