Receiving the Holy SpiritSample
Conclusion
The number of references to the Holy Spirit in the New Testament is greater than once per page. The work of the Holy Spirit is so important for the people of God that it is essential that we understand and seek the Holy Spirit to work closely in our lives.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit were not given randomly and for no reason. Every gift from God is a good gift. He does not give us bad or evil gifts, but in everything, He provides what we need for our benefit.
The work of the Holy Spirit at its most basic level is to transform us into the image of Jesus Christ and God, which he does through the operation of the gifts of God in our lives.
But we need to seek this amazing gift from God. We need to ask God to pour His Holy Spirit upon us so that we can perceive and understand the things of God. It is the work of the Spirit to show us the whole will of God so that as we are transformed, we can be like God in our nature.
None of this will happen until a person receives the Holy Spirit. It is evident from data collected by various research bodies that only around 22%-25% of Christians have received the Holy Spirit and spoken in tongues. This means that three quarters of the church today may not have received the gift of the Holy Spirit.
It is my hope that this Bible plan will help Christians understand the need to receive the Holy Spirit and seek this gift from God.
