Pause and think about the communities you are part of. Know that you are an indispensable part of a community, or–as our Scripture for today will say–you are an important member of the Body of Christ. As you read this Scripture, reflect on your role within the community of believers.

Reflection

The original recipients of these words in the city of Corinth were a divided group of people, following different leaders and ideologies. This wisdom is a word for us, just as it was for them. Our identity is not only individual but also communal. We are part of the Body of Christ, each with a unique role. Our interconnectedness reflects God’s creative imagination, much like the intricate connections seen in all of Creation, from the subatomic particles to the vastness of the Universe.
