Reflection

The Holy Spirit empowers us to live out our identity as witnesses of Christ. Reading Acts 1, we see that the disciples wanted Jesus to give them political power, but Jesus instead calls them to be witnesses, who simply tell the story of what they have encountered. The Holy Spirit's power enables us to overcome challenges and live boldly for God’s glory. Whether alone in nature or together in the Church, the Spirit is with us, showing us who we are.

Reflect on how the Holy Spirit has empowered you. In what areas of your life do you need the Holy Spirit’s power today? Ask God to fill you afresh with the Spirit.
