What Was I Made For?Sample

Have you ever had a friend who constantly talks negatively about people to you? Maybe they’re incredibly kind to you, but they can’t stop speaking unkindly about others. It may even cause you to wonder what they say about you when you’re not around! Or, if you’re honest, maybe you’d admit you’ve been that friend a time or two. No matter what, it hurts when people say one thing to us and another to someone else. It hurts when we can’t trust their words to be real!

Similarly, Jesus gets honest with us and reminds us that, at times, we do the same thing to God. We may say we love and follow God, but our lives don’t always show it. To be real with God and live the way we were made to live, we must be open to seeing how we might need to let God change our hearts along the way!

Today, be real with God about where you are in your faith and ask God to help change your heart so you can live the way God made you to live.
