Was there a time when you knew you should show someone love, but it wasn’t easy? Maybe it was a frustrating moment with your family, a fight with a friend, or a conflict with another student in your class. Regardless of who it was, we all know that loving others can be hard, especially when we feel like they aren’t showing love to us! But we must remember that love isn’t just a feeling. It’s an action. It’s a genuine response we choose with the help of God’s Spirit in us. Being real with others means choosing to show them real love, even when it’s not easy. And thanks to God’s real love for us, we can do that how we were made to!

This week, work on memorizing this verse. Let it be there to remind you that God is working in you to help you love others as you were made to—especially when you are having a hard time doing it on your own.
