Old Testament OverviewSample
The book of Leviticus is a manual of Old Covenant instructions. These were God's requirements for maintaining a relationship with His people.
Based on today's reading, what do you think are the most important aspects of the Old/Mosaic Covenant?
After reading the passage use these questions as the basis for your discussion.
1. What stood out for you / what was interesting and why? (The Holy Spirit’s prompting)
2. What was the passage about / the main message / big idea? (The Word of God)
3. What should we do / how can we apply this message? (Faith in Action)
Remember that 'Old Covenant' refers to the covenant with Israel through Moses, summarised in the 10 Commandments.

About this Plan
This plan is designed for families (our girls were under 10 when we used it); it can also be used for personal devotion. Each day uses the same 3 questions to explore the text. The plan provides a comprehensive "bird's eye view" of the Old Testament; the aim is to understand the first phase of God's salvation plan through the Covenants (relationships) which He established with His people.
