Unbreakable: Surviving Life's Trialsනියැදිය

Day 3: Divorce
Regretfully, I’ve been divorced three times. I fully understand the importance of a covenant with God. All withstanding, the circumstances surrounding each marriage were extreme. I’ve had to battle emotional abuse, oppose spousal drug abuse, and along the way (unwarrantedly), I lost all of my possessions – including the presence of my youngest son in my life. I don’t blame God. I understand that God gives us free will, and, at times, my choices did not align with God’s perfect will for my life. I still suffer consequences today for the poor choices that I made years ago.
STAY STRONG!
Alas, God is good! With each failed marriage, if I did not have an intimate relationship with our Father in Heaven, I’m not sure I would have survived. Just as I did, allow your faith to keep you strong. God’s word will pull you through impossible moments. The Holy Spirit will protect your mental and physical health as you battle the unthinkable. God’s word also reminds us that, “we fight not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12). So, fight spiritual attacks with the Holy Spirit inside of you. Call for His help and lean on His mightiness!
Although battle tested, I look back on my life and realize that even when I chose wrongly and faced many consequences, God’s love for me endured. He will always love you, for all eternity, even when love on this earth fails.
