DAY 3 OF 11

MIRACLE IN ME

It. Is. Finished. These were Jesus’ last words before He took His final breath. He did not say, “Now work as hard as you can to maintain your right standing; say all the right words that tickle my ears and make me want to pour out my blessings.” No, He said, “It is finished.” Period. You cannot add to it or take away from it.

You do not have to grovel for your healing. It was already purchased.

You do not have to beg to be set free from your addiction. His blood has covered it.

You do not have to wonder if God is willing (Psalm 103:2-3) He is. The cross has proved it.

Matthew 6:8b shows us that before we can even ask God for anything he already knows. Does your marriage need to be restored? Have you and your spouse been trying to have a baby and it just isn’t happening? Have you been begging God to cure you of your loneliness? Did you just get a devastating diagnosis and have no idea how to move forward? Whatever you need, He already knows.

The intention is to never discredit or cheapen your battle - the Lord is aware that we will have troubles… “BUT take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) Our role is simply to remain faithful. You may be waiting for a miracle right now. We cannot know the mind of the Lord, understand his timing, or discern his methods. But what we do know is how it ends. Every death leads to a resurrection for those in Christ; Jesus wrote it into the fabric of creation when he walked out of the grave.

“The work was finished at Calvary. Your body broken, so mine is complete. My testimony of faith will be: because of Christ there’s a miracle in me.” The greatest and most important miracle that we will ever receive is that Christ reconciled our souls from the pit of hell, paid our debt, shared his glory with us, and rooted us in his love. We have been washed white as snow by the blood of the Lamb.

If you have nothing else, you have Jesus. Here and now.

  1. What are you petitioning for? Ask again. Boldly approach the throne of grace. But before you ask, give Him thanks for who He is and what He has already done. Then, stir your faith to ask again, remembering that this process is how God will continue to reveal his nature to you.
  2. What do you feel Him restoring in you right now as you meet Him with thanksgiving and expectation?

About this Plan

Ascend: An 11-Day Devotional With Red Rocks Worship

Join Red Rocks Worship in an 11-day devotional diving into their album, Ascend. It's often hard to remind ourselves of the truth we know, that God is omnipresent and always available to us. Psalm 139 tells us that we cannot hide from Him. Continuing in Psalms, David states that those with clean hands and pure hearts will experience His presence. Lord, clean our hands and purify our hearts!
