A Kid's Guide To: Being Grateful for JesusSample
What I Don’t Deserve
So whenever we are in need, we should come bravely before the throne of our merciful God. There we will be treated with undeserved grace, and we will find help.
Hebrews 4:16 (CEV)
What keeps you from praying? Too busy? Don’t think God cares? Don’t feel close enough to Him to ask for things? Or do you just forget?
God wants a relationship with you. He wants to talk with you all the time. He wants to be with you in every part of your life. In fact, that’s why He created you! He is your father and you are His child.
And this is all possible because of his incredible grace for us—which means getting what we don’t deserve. Because of our sin or wrongdoing, we deserve to be separated from our perfect God. But He sent Jesus to pay that price through his death on the cross, making it possible for us to be close to God. It’s because of this great sacrifice that we can talk to God every day.
So go to God! Tell Him you are sorry for your temper, your selfishness, your stubbornness, and ask Him to forgive you. Then start talking to Him about all of it. He will help you with everything.
