Active FaithSample
You will never hear of a soldier being sent into passive duty. It is called active duty.
- Active faith will put something into motion.
- Active faith is a military encounter between hostile forces that do warfare.
The whole world lies in the power of the evil one - 1 John 5:19b. But the victory that overcomes the world is our faith - 1 John 5:4b. Our faith has to be active for this level of overcoming.
One of the most important things you can do to enhance your walk with God is to determine daily to step out of passive faith and keep your faith active.
We were in Germany, and by faith were praying and believing God to help us find a contact for a particular book-related mission. On a snow-filled and icy street, a woman was walking down the middle of the road while reading a book. Occasionally she would look up and check for traffic. As we got closer, my daughter exclaimed, "Mom, she's reading your book"! She immediately had the car we were traveling in stop as she jumped out and asked the woman reading one of my Psalm 91 books, "Do you want to meet the author?" I thought it was a setup by my daughter, but no. God had arranged our meeting in such an unexpected way with the person we needed! Chrystal's testimony is available on our website as "The God of Surprises."
Is your faith vibrant, alive, and on fire? Are you experiencing “God-incidences” and answered prayers? If not, take steps now to turn your passive faith into active faith.
