Fall in Love with Jesus

Try this. Look at Jesus today. Look at His way, how he did things. How he loved people everywhere he went. Jesus lived this way himself. He said: “I am gentle and humble in heart” (Mt 11:29). The truth of the matter is that we won’t follow Jesus unless we fall in love with Him and admit He is the way. Take a long, deep look at Jesus, talk to your friends and family about Him. Ask them what they know about Jesus and how He lived.

To refresh your memory – this is Jesus.

Here are some things about Jesus to think about. On the day Jesus was baptized, God said (Matt 3:17), “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” Jesus understands that He is deeply loved. His value is not in what others say about Him but in what His Father says about Him. Jesus is free from what others think of Him because he knows how much God loves Him. God loves you in the same way. How does that make you feel?

Jesus is a friend to those whom nobody wants to have as friends. Jesus didn’t just mingle with important people. No, He associated with everyone who crossed His path. He especially wanted to be friends with the homeless, the sick, and those who faced discrimination. Jesus loves people, all kinds of people, even the ones you might think of as strange or different. The good news is that Jesus loves you in the same way.

Jesus also washed people’s feet. He served them by performing duties one would think only an enslaved person would do. Through this, Jesus shows us He is free to do anything.

What about the things you hear or read about Jesus attracts you to Him? Share with Jesus what you admire about Him.
