‘NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD!’

How could Jesus do what he did? It was by the power of God’s Holy Spirit at work through him. That’s how. God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit were there in the beginning as creation unfolded in all its amazing impossibleness. As Mary witnessed her Son performing amazing miracles, she must have been reminded of the angel Gabriel’s words, ‘Nothing is impossible for God’. God’s power. At work. Through Jesus.

When we eat our meals and occasionally have picnics, do we really appreciate God’s power? The bread and fish that we eat are miraculous gifts from our Creator God to us. They are for our pleasure and our well-being. God’s power. At work. Through Jesus.

So, let’s reflect one more time on a picnic of vast proportions. We are on the receiving end of God’s provision too. Let’s not take any of it for granted! Let’s appreciate the miracle of the food we eat. And, just as Jesus was thankful to his Father for meals that he had, let us be thankful too. God’s Power. At work. Through Jesus.
