Revealer of Mysteries
Daniel 2:47
The king said to Daniel, "Surely your God is the God of gods and the Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, for you were able to reveal this mystery."
Do you know Sherlock Holmes? He solves mysteries or cases using some evidence or clue. Without any evidence, there is no way he can solve the mysteries or cases. Evidence and clues will lead him to the solutions.
King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream, but he didn't reveal a single clue of it and expected the wise men in his palace to tell him what his dream was and the meaning of it. It was like asking them to solve a mystery without a single clue!
It seemed impossible till Daniel came to him. With God's wisdom and help, Daniel told the king every little detail of the dream together with the meaning. King Nebuchadnezzar told Daniel that God was the true God. God was the revealer of mysteries.
Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts. Daniel became a ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief administrator over all the wise men of Babylon.
Prayer
Dear God, teach me to trust you as Daniel did and to believe that You hold the solution to every situation I face. There are no mysteries you cannot reveal. Amen.
