Luke: A 10-Day Devotional Reading PlanSample
Is He For Real?
As Jesus makes himself known, first in his hometown of Nazareth and then throughout the region of Galilee, people take notice. There’s something compelling about this man showing up to teach in the local synagogues. More astonishing still are his miracles, which generate excitement and great curiosity and draw great crowds. So when he singles out a few men to join up with him, they gladly come along. Even so, others hate him, especially the religious leaders because what Jesus is saying and doing diminishes their own authority.
Reflection:
Review Jesus’s description of love in 6:27–36. Where has such love seemed most difficult—if not downright impossible—for you? Given that the Lord promises to help us, the big question is, are we willing? Consider the implications for your own life.
About this Plan
Over the course of 10-days, read the book of Luke alongside passages and questions from Lydia Brownback, and see how the Gospel of Luke presents Jesus as the promised King of kings, showcasing how Jesus’s earthly ministry is good news to the downtrodden, the hurting, and the outsider.
