Thriving in Your Singleness Part TwoSample
Day 6
God’s Plan, God’s Plan
If you really want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans.
I know how to make God laugh. My plans in the past were hilarious, lol!
What does God's plan look like?
One of the biggest parts of God's plan for singles is SALVATION. Giving your life to Christ is the most important decision you will ever make.
We will never know the whole scope of God's plan for our life. We can seek His will for our lives. God gives us many examples in the BIBLE. In the Bible, there are many scriptures regarding God's plan for all believers alike.
You may work at a job that you hate right now; this is not your dream job. God is looking for you to work in excellence as if it's your dream job. It's not about what you do, it's how you do it! If you are serving your community, serve with love and integrity. If you are single right now, thrive in your singleness.
God gives us the authority to ask for certain things according to His will. We grow when we seek God and apply His word to our lives. Faith is the key to open the doors God has for you.
As a single person, you may have your entire life mapped out—the day you will get married, the number of kids you would like to have, the place where you will reside, or your annual family vacation spot. We have to ask ourselves, do our plans align with God’s plans?
Spiritual maturity is when you can wholeheartedly say God's will over my will. “God, I let go of my plans so that your plans can prevail. I am no longer presenting my blueprint for my life, I am following your plan now, God. Have your complete way in my life.” As a single person, pray that God’s will be done.
A great thing about God's plan is there is no competition. You have tunnel vision solely on what God is calling you to do, where God wants you to be, and where God is taking you. Align yourself with God's plan.
Say it out loud, God, let thy will be done. Period.
Today’s Challenge: Write a simple prayer about God’s will for your life.
