Bronco and Friends: A 5-Day Devotional by Tim Tebow Sample
Day Two: What Makes You Different?
Scripture: “God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” 1 Peter 4:10
“I guess I’m not going,” Bronco told Squirrel. Yet deep inside his heart, he really, really wanted to.
Devotion
Bronco doesn’t think he can see well enough to find his puzzle piece and go to the party. But Bronco is really good at smelling. He decides to use his nose to search for his puzzle piece.
Each of us has strengths and weaknesses. Some people are really good at dancing but can’t run fast. Other people can make up great stories but have to work really hard at reading.
Other things make us different too. Some of us need to wear glasses, like Bronco does. Maybe you or someone you know uses a wheelchair to move around or uses sign language to talk.
Sometimes the different things about us make us feel like we don’t fit in. But you know what? God loves who you are, whatever strengths, weaknesses, or differences you have. You were created in God’s own image! And that’s the most special thing of all.
Question
What is something you are really good at? What is something that makes you different?
Prayer
Dear God, thank you for making me the way you did! Most of all, thank you for loving me. I love you too! Amen.
Activity
Think about a friend or someone in your family. What is one way you could use something you are good at to help that person this week? What is one way you could ask that person for help with something you are still learning?
