Devotion

Squirrel is excited to be invited to a special party! Have you ever been invited to a party? Being asked to come to a party or over to someone’s house feels good. It’s nice to know that our friends love us and want to be with us.

God wants to be with us too! Every day, He invites us to talk with Him and enjoy being friends with Him. The wonderful thing is we never need to wait to be invited to be with God, because He is always with us. He loves it when we read the Bible, when we pray, and when we run outside and enjoy the world He created.

Prayer

Dear God, thank you for being my friend! Thank you for inviting me every day to be with You. Amen.

Activity

Ask a parent if you can invite a friend to do something together this week. You could meet at a park or talk on the phone or maybe play in your backyard! Be sure to tell your friend how much you like being together.
