A Faithful God!

Psalm 33:4

The Lord’s word is true, and He is faithful in everything He does.

Have you ever been hurt by the same person over and over again? Maybe you could still forgive that person the first time it happened. But if it happens again and again, you might run out of patience and prefer not being friends anymore. 

When you read this Psalm, you will remember about the Israelites' journey till they found the Promised Land. After what God had done for them, the Israelites forgot about Him and turned away from Him. After all the miracles of God they had experienced, they were unfaithful to God. It happened over and over again!

The Israelites were so quick to forget about God while God was so quick to forgive them. The God of Israel is also our God. Our God is a faithful God. The moments when you become too busy to remember Him, He still does not forget about you at all. The moments when you sin, He is so quick to open His arms, waiting for you to repent and come back to Him. 

God’s faithfulness is not because of who you are and what you do, but it is because of who God is. He is a faithful and forgiving God. Our faithlessness does not stop God’s faithfulness.

Prayer

Dear God, I praise You for You are not only powerful but also faithful, and your Mercy endures forever! Thank you for loving me. Amen.
