This Christmas Just Give Me Jesus

DAY 1 OF 4

Wonderful Counselor

I want to start by saying ‘God is good’ and ‘God is extremely good’. The reason I say this is because, what a turbulent 2020 it has been! Yet, in the midst of all these, God has been good to us. Now, we have stepped into the most awaited season of the year, ‘Christmas- Jesus is the reason why we celebrate’

Often we hear this from our friends and family, ‘Thank you for being wonderful to me’. I think this cannot be compared to what Isaiah had mentioned years ago. One of the first titles that Isaiah gave to Jesus the Messiah was ‘Wonderful Counselor’. Isaiah 9:6

Jesus is ever wonderful. Jesus is wonderful because of His nature. Jesus is wonderful because He has done great things. Jesus is wonderful because He is doing great things. Jesus is wonderful because He will do great things. Jesus will fill your hearts with wonders.

Jesus is called Counselor. Jesus, the Counselor will restore you, will guide you, will advise you, will provide you with clarity in the midst of confusion and will take you through. Sometimes human counsel provides momentary healing, sometimes it is a disaster. But go to Jesus, for He is a ‘Wonderful Counselor’. It is beyond your understanding but you will see wonders.

If you have not experienced His counsel or how wonderful He is, this is the moment. What are you waiting for? If you have been closely walking with Jesus, get to know Him more, if you are backslidden and waiting to return, come to Him just as you are, if you are hearing Jesus for the first time, repent of your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Take away:

This journey is a mystery one but you will see wonders. This Christmas, just give me Jesus.
