When someone tells me that they have a surprise for me, I can hardly stand it! I can’t wait until they tell me good news! If they tell me they are going to tell me the surprise in the morning, just like on Christmas Eve, I can’t fall asleep because I am SO excited! Some of the best surprises EVER have been, "Pack your suitcases, we're going on a trip! We're going to the mountains where it snows! We're going to go snow skiing!" Once I was even surprised with a trip to Disney World! I LOVE surprises and LOVE hearing GOOD NEWS!

SCRIPTURE
Read Luke 2:8–15.

THINK
Imagine yourself walking your dog in the park on a peaceful, quiet evening and all of a sudden a ton of angels appeared from heaven right in front of you and they started singing and praising God! Wow! The news that the angels shared with the shepherds is for us, too! God invites us to come and meet His Son Jesus. The angel told the shepherds that Jesus was a Savior for all people. The invitation is to come to Jesus because it is through Jesus that we can know God! God sent Jesus into the world so He could take our sins on Himself and suffer the punishment that we deserve. This is the best news EVER!

DO SOMETHING
Share this good news with someone you know: that Jesus is God’s Son and that Christmas is the celebration of His birth! 

PRAY
Dear God, thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to us to be our Savior. Help us share this invitation with others that we know who need to know You!
