DAY 10 OF 10

Be the Light

“Let’s be the Light.”

You don’t illuminate a light just to place it underneath a basket. The purpose of a light is to shine and provide vision in the midst of darkness. We are the light of the world. Hiding our light does not serve others. Like it says in Matthew 5, shine so others may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.

When you’re surrounded by darkness, you can’t see the path you need to take. By shining our light we can show others the path of God and expose them to a new way they might have not otherwise known was available.

One easy way to be a light in the world is by following God‘s commands. By loving your neighbor, by being kind and compassionate, by continuing to fight to live a life without sin.

You shining your light encourages others to do the same. It’s much easier to light multiple candles once one is lit.

As you go out into the world, I encourage you to keep your fire burning and shine your light with the world.

You’re well on your way! You taking the time to read this devotional, read the Bible, and spend time with God shows your commitment to invest towards your eternity. Congratulations on completing these 10 days of the Exit devotional! Every exit is an entrance, and I hope you’ll begin to see a great shift in your life as you take the time to exit the busyness of life and enter into prayer and intentional time with the Lord.

Prayer: God help me to follow Your commands and be a light in the darkness. Help this not just be a one time thing, but a lifestyle.

Action: Identify God‘s commands in scriptures and begin to implement obedience into your lifestyle.
