DAY 6 OF 8

Do Your Best!

Colossians 3:23

In all the work you are doing, work the best you can.

Story

The land of Canaan was divided and given to the 12 tribes of Israel. At one point, the tribe of Joseph came to Joshua and said that their land allotment was too small, and they were too numerous, so they asked for more land. Joshua wisely answered them that since they were numerous, they could just go to the forest country and clear a place there and make a place for themselves. It means they would have to fight and defeat the people who lived there first before they could take over that place.

Joshua also assured them that the people of Joseph were numerous and strong and, even though the Canaanites were strong, they would be able to drive them out of the land and take over their territory.

So, we can learn that God has already given His blessings for us, but it doesn’t mean that we can just relax and do nothing. We must also do our part. Work hard and do our best in everything we do. Then, have faith that God will help us to accomplish our goal.

Prayer

Dear God, I want to do my best in everything I do, and I want to surrender all my life to You. Amen.
