Something Worth Sharing

If all that we’ve looked at throughout this reading plan is true., if Jesus rose from the dead, if we, too, have gone from death to life spiritually, then the idea that we would keep all of this life-altering good news to ourselves is ludicrous. 

We love to talk about what we love. In fact we do it nearly every day! We advertise our love for our favorite shows, teams, food, fashion, and whatever else we love. Why is it, then, that Jesus is often our best kept secret? If we’ve been raised to new life in Jesus, we should have no problem letting people know about it! The life Jesus has to offer is too good to keep quiet about. 

That’s why, when we’ve experienced the rising for ourselves, we’ve got to share it with others. You are God’s Plan A for the people in your circle of influence coming to faith. In the best way, you should feel the weight of that. As your friends, co-workers, neighbors, family members see the change in you, and you share the story of what took place on that first rising, the Great Commission, which Paul reiterates in one of his letters to the Corinthians, can be fulfilled.

So who do you know that needs to know about Jesus? No one is too far gone. No one is beyond saving. Everybody is worth telling. Jesus is alive, and so are we. This good news is too good to keep to ourselves!
