A Beautiful Thing
Mark 14:3, 6, 8
“While he was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume. She broke the jar and poured out the perfume on his head…‘She has done a beautiful thing to me…she did what she could’…”
When was the last time I did a beautiful thing for Jesus?
In a home considered to be ceremonially unclean, Jesus was anointed for burial. A woman broke and poured out a gift for Jesus.
What is God calling me to pour out for him?
How does brokenness release the fragrance of worship and sacrifice in my life?
Am I doing what I can to love Jesus with all my heart, soul and strength?
Is there some opportunity to express my love to Jesus through brokenness, outpouring, beauty, worship and sacrifice?
In what way does my worship of Jesus bear witness to his gospel?
Lord Jesus, you alone are worthy of my love, devotion and sacrifice. You have my heart, soul and strength, and all that I am. I desire to worship and love you in beautiful ways this day, for your glory.
