WITH YOUR LIGHT

You drive back the darkness, You pierce through the night. 

You open the heavens, with your light, with Your light. 

‘Cause You’re the light, You’re the light.

In case you need reassurance of things, here it is. We serve an amazing God. Jesus is truly the light of the world. No matter where you go in this life and no matter how dark things may get around you, if you have the Holy Spirit living on the inside of you then you can shine light like a city on a hill. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we begin a life of becoming more like Him. As we read in the scriptures, He is light! So the more we embrace becoming like Him, the more we can be reflectors of His light.  

So shine in me, with Heaven’s glory. Let my life reflect the Son. 

You overcome every fear within me, so tell the dark that light has come,

And let it shine in me. 

Maybe you feel like you’re in a dark place. The weight and struggles of this world can make you feel like you’re walking in darkness. But take heart, Jesus has overcome this world. Rest in His great love and finished work on the cross. Let the light shine out of you to all those around you. Love on people. Encourage those around you. Forgive those who have wronged you. Serve those who are in need. Be a light that drowns out the darkness everywhere you go. Not only will you begin to show others the light that Jesus has given you, but you will begin to experience the light in even greater ways. 

Our prayer is that when you encounter the presence of God, you wouldn’t keep it to yourself. Go out today and share all the good things God has done in your life recently. Can’t think of anything? Take some time to be thankful for even the little things. Be the light, this dark world needs you to shine for the glory of our God.
